As already explained, poor digestion can be caused by poor diet and, in addition, it can be caused by excessive consumption of liquids during meals and by the abuse of fatty foods and fried foods. As a result, it causes a feeling of a full stomach, nausea, belching (belching), vomiting, drowsiness after meals, and abdominal pain.
carqueja
A Brazilian plant that speeds up the diuretic process, carqueja has as one of its benefits the reduction of body weight and, in addition, it is an excellent ally for women who have problems with fluid retention, especially during menstrual periods. Its tea can be used to alleviate the symptoms of bad digestion as well as cure if it is not related to poor diet and eating too quickly.
Despite having a bitter taste, carqueja is excellent when used to improve health, as it has antipyretic properties and lowers the level of glucose in the blood. It can also directly help in cases of gastric problems, fever, intestinal and urinary tract problems, in strengthening the stomach, reducing and eliminating obstructions in the liver and gallbladder, in addition to purifying the blood.
It also helps relieve flu symptoms, reduces cholesterol, fights hypertension, controls diabetes, fights heartburn, cold sore, tonsillitis, asthma, asthmatic bronchitis, pancreas, spleen and kidney diseases, among many other benefits.
Carqueja tea
To prepare the tea, use the proportion of 20 g of carqueja for each liter of water. In a container, put the water and bring to fire. Then add the carqueja and wait for it to boil. When it starts to boil, leave it on the fire for another approximately thirty minutes. Then turn off the heat and strain. The recommended consumption dose is four or five cups of carqueja tea a day.
Contraindications
The consumption of carqueja tea is contraindicated for pregnant patients, as it can act as a uterine stimulant. In addition, patients who suffer from low blood pressure – hypotension – or who suffer from hypoglycemia should not consume carqueja. Diabetics who are using this plant must strictly control their blood glucose levels, as they need to assess the drops in order not to cause a very significant drop causing hypoglycemia.
