What is the leather hat?
Leather hat is the name of a very abundant plant in southern Brazil. With the scientific name Echinodorus grandiflorus , the plant is known by several names, among them are: Alismacéa, Aguapé and “mineiro tea”, due to its consumption in large quantities by people who live in Minas Gerais.
When it reaches maturity, the leather hat can reach 1.5 meters in height and its flowers and leaves can be used medicinally.
