Fern medicinal properties
The fern can be used to treat a number of diseases, mainly based on its medicinal properties as astringent, anthelmintic, febrifurgus and vermifuge. In natural medicine, fern roots are used to paralyze the parasite muscles in order to release them from the body.
In addition, this plant also fights cases of flu, meningitis, roundworm, cold pneumonia, measles, solitary and worms. What’s more, it can be used to treat fever and wounds. The plant serves as a tonic for people who suffer from illnesses and respiratory problems such as bronchitis and asthma.
One of the most common ways to prepare the fern to solve health problems is through tea. For this you will need 1 tablespoon of dried fern root and 600 ml of filtered water. Bring the water to boil in a container with a lid. This will help in the beverage preparation process.
As soon as the water starts to bubble, turn off the heat and add the fern root. Let the mixture sit for about 10 minutes. This time will help the plant release all nutrients into the water. After that, just use a sieve to separate the plant from the liquid.
Before using the fern, you need to be sure about the species, as not all of them have healing properties.
The fern cannot be consumed by people suffering from anemia, gastritis, duodenal ulcer or heart disease. Furthermore, women who are pregnant or in the process of breastfeeding should also stay away from the plant. As indicated at the beginning of the text, the best thing is to go to the doctor.
