Cordão de São Francisco is a plant of the Lamiaceae family. Its appearance is linked to man, that is, it is commonly identified where human beings are occupied or where they have already lived. Over the years, several ways to use it were discovered, especially related to health.Due to the ease with which it is found, the plant is known by several other names, in addition to the São Francisco cordon. Among the most common are: basking cord, rubin, pear-wood, veritable basking cord, small basking cord, lion’s tail and tolonga.
