With the scientific name of Amburama cearensis , the Emburana plant is native to Brazil. It is a medium tree, capable of reaching up to 10 m in height. Its bark has a reddish-brown tone that stands out between thin blades. A key point to recognize the Emburana tree are its whitish, tiny and extremely aromatic flowers, which form bunches that completely cover the leafless branches. The earliest times refer to emburana as an efficient aromatizer for clothing, however, over time it was discovered that the plant had many other benefits.

Preparation mode

You will find the plant emburana in pharmacies and health food stores, promptly crushed and cleaned for the tea. Heat 1 l of water, and 2 tablespoons of emburana – it will always be 2 tablespoons for each liter of water. Simmer for 10 minutes, then turn off the heat, smother the container and allow it to warm. When the temperature is suitable for consumption, strain and drink the tea twice a day, preferably before main meals.
