Have you ever heard of Dog Knot tea ? This tea is made from the roots and bark of a very Brazilian plant, which is easily found in the Midwest region of the country amidst the cerrado vegetation, mainly in the states of Mato Grosso and Goiás.
The tea from the plant has been studied by many specialists for some time and gained more fame in the scientific community after it was discovered that it contained substances that reduced the side effects of Cyclosporine, a medicine widely used to combat autoimmune diseases and in patients who have recently undergone organ transplants.
