Buchu tea can be used to treat inflammation of the mucous membranes, vagina and colon, gastric problems such as ulcers and gastritis, respiratory diseases such as asthma, pneumonia, pulmonary edema and bronchitis. It also helps to cure bladder irritations, urinary tract inflammation, painful urination and prostate problems.
The drink also helps treat kidney and bladder stones, gout, gonorrhea, hypertension, intestinal gas, bloating, urinary incontinence, cystitis, kidney inflammation and calms and strengthens the urinary system.
It has antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, diuretic, aromatic, stimulant and digestive and uterine tonic properties.
The tea is contraindicated for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, people who are very sensitive or who are experiencing problems with acute urinary inflammation.
- 200 ml of water;
- 2 tablespoons of buchu leaf.
Bring the water to a boil and add the spoons with the leaves. Let the water boil and when it reaches the ideal temperature, turn off the heat and smother the container for 15 minutes. Try to drink tea at least three times a day.
