A study published in the Journal of Periodontology revealed that green tea is good for both teeth and gum health. A survey conducted in Japan investigated 940 male gums. The finding was revealing: those who drank green tea had less gum bleeds than others.
“We take into account that the consumption of this product is growing around the world and that other health benefits have already been confirmed. This prompted us to investigate the impact of green tea on oral health, especially given the growing emphasis that oral problems can affect overall health,” said Yoshihiro Shimazaki of Kyushu University in Fukuoka, Japan.
