Many factors can be blamed for menstrual delay, such as stress, excessive physical activity, thyroid problems and excess prolactin – a hormone produced for breastfeeding. Some natural remedies can change the frequency and flow of menstruation and can help in situations like this.

What can solve the delay?
Some teas contain abortifacient components, so they should not be taken when a woman is having her menstrual cycle late, or even with symptoms caused by her upcoming period. Cinnamon stick tea, sold freely, can be used to advance menstruation without risk.
Cinnamon helps, as it has some properties such as vasodilators, which help blood circulation and also the menstrual cycle, as long as it is not compromised by hormonal or other problems. It accelerates circulation and acts as a vasodilator, astringent, aphrodisiac, antiseptic, carminative, stimulant, sedative and tonic hypertensive.

To prepare the tea, bring a liter of water to a boil. When it comes to a boil, add about five sticks of cinnamon and sugar. Leave it on the fire for a few more minutes, and make it hot.
Cinnamon has benefits for many types of problems, acting against infections, sore throats, nausea and heartburn, being also very effective against flu and colds.
Other natural remedies
When it is definitely established that missed periods are not caused by pregnancy, some other natural remedies can help with the problem.
Oregano tea can be brewed with a cup of water and two teaspoons of oregano. First boil the water, then add the herb and let it simmer for a few minutes. The ideal dosage is one cup a day.
Rue should be placed in a pestle, and pounded until crushed. Leave the mashed herb in a bowl of cold water overnight and the next day strain and drink.
To regulate menstruation, you can drink pennyroyal tea, prepared with four tablespoons of the plant and a liter of water. Boil the water for approximately five minutes and then add the pennyroyal. Have a cup every two hours.
To advance menstruation, use the cinnamon tea mentioned above. To reduce the flow and regulate it, a selection of herbs is needed. Put three cups of water to boil and in another container add two tablespoons of horsetail, two tablespoons of linden and one tablespoon of oak bark. After boiling, pour the water over the herbs. Allow it to cool down and drink 2-3 cups each day. The ideal is to start taking it fifteen days before your period starts.
All remedies, including natural ones, must be taken under medical supervision. If symptoms persist, seek advice.
