Obesity has become a common affliction of modern society; learn how to make an artichoke tea that helps to eliminate body fat
How do I know if I am overweight?
To find out if your Body Mass Index (BMI) is above or below average, you must divide your weight (in kilograms) by your height (in meters) squared. Thus:
P/H²
Where P = weight (kg) is divided by H = height, squared.
On the internet, there are many websites with BMI calculators that do all this math work, and you just need to know your exact weight and height to fill in the fields.
Obesity degrees
After the calculation, you check your results with a pre-established table, which indicates the three types of obesity according to BMI:
- Type 1 obesity – BMI between 30.0 – 34.9 kg/m²
- Type 2 obesity – BMI between 35.0 – 39.9 kg/m²
- Type 3 obesity or Morbid Obesity – BMI equal to or greater than 40kg/m²
Artichoke: why is it good?
The artichoke is known for its slimming capacity, a principle given thanks to cinnaropicrin, which, together with cinnarine and chlorogenic acid, helps in the digestion of fatty foods, in reducing cholesterol and in regulating blood glucose.
This vegetable is also used to help treat atherosclerosis, anemia, hemophilia, diabetes, heart disease, pneumonia, liver disease, hemorrhoids, fever, gout, cough, weakness, syphilis, rheumatism, urinary problems, urea and urticaria.
Artichoke tea for obesity
In conjunction with the treatment prescribed by a nutritionist, you can take this artichoke tea. Remember that it is a complement, not a substitute.
Prepare the tea by baking, using 20 g of artichoke roots in a liter of water. Have a cup of this tea on an empty stomach, one after lunch and one after dinner. Repeat this treatment daily, until you get the desired result.
Contraindications
Artichoke is contraindicated for people with cases of bile duct obstruction. Its consumption during pregnancy and lactation is also inadvisable. In addition, it is always good to see a doctor before starting any natural treatment.
